As the Post Apocalyptic Bohemian, I can’t help but think of the relief & remedy the $70 million + that Rev.Camping spent on vans & billboards announcing the Rapture could have brought to those in need around the globe. But of course, that would have actually been in the tradition of Christ.
Among those people who said they refused to get caught up in the hysteria was Florida pastor Terry Jones, who has generated controversy by burning, or threatening to burn, the Koran at public demonstrations.
Jones: "I think it's misfortunate, I've been a pastor for some 30 odd years & this has happened what some half-dozen times. People twist it & turn it to make it look like Christians are kind of nutty."
