Stuff.......

I remember when I was younger, I used to say "When I grow up, I want to...." and I would have all these things I said I wanted to do. I also had a alot of career change ideas. Like when I was 4 all the way up until I was 10, I wanted to be a doctor, but after I found out about all the schooling it required and about the additional schooling for certain fields in medicine like podiatry or pediatrics, I quickly changed that one. And after that, I wanted to go into forensic science like on CSI. But when I found out that no school around where I live offer that as a course, there goes that. And after that, I wanted to go into police work and become a police officer because police work has always held a strong interest for me, but when i found out there was a high fatality and divorce rate for cops/firemen and firewomen, that went out the window before anyone knew it! So now I'm going to school for art. Hopefully, if possible, maybe I can go into Video Game Design, CD Cover Design, Advertising, or maybe Screen Printing, you know, making T-shirts for businesses and stuff. I love to be creative and Screen Printing sounds really fun! It' really funny how things ebd up, huh? When you're younger, it seems like you could conquer the world when you grow up, and before you know it, adulthood is knocking at your door.

TV Shows

Yeah, the title is what it is. TV Shows. Everyone has at least one favorite, if not one, maybe 2, 3 or more. When it comes to favorite TV shows for me, it doesn't surprise a lot to know that quite a few of the shows I watch have at least one thing in common with other things: they either have an Asian actor or actress on it or it takes place in England. I guess it's because this show is awesome and maybe I have a thing for English guys or something. Not surprising, huh?
Here's a picture of one of my favorite TV shows, Top Gear, and I mean Top Gear UK. This one kicks the American version's butt!

My favorite one is the one in the middle, with the brown hair and blue jean jacket. For those who actually read this and actually watch Top Gear UK, you'll know who these guys are and you'll know who I mean when I say the one I like is Richard Hammond.

Law and Order:SVU
My favorite one is the one on the far right, B.D. Wong. He is so cute. I love his character on the show, Dr. George Huang. He is so good looking, it's sad to know he's gay, but it don't bother me, it doesn't matter what his sexuality is, I still think he's cute, he's still my little Chinese fortune cookie.

Cake Boss
I love the one guy standing up right next to Buddy(one in the middle for those who may not know). The one with his hand on Buddy's shoulder is my favorite, Remy. He's so cute. I love what he does with cakes and everything. I love watching this show because it's a good show and it's so interesting to see what he does  with cake. And plus, friends of mine always say I have a thing for Italian guys........

The Sopranos

What's kind of funny and weird at the same time is that my stepdad Greg is Italian and his costume at Halloween last year was the guy in the blue jacket at the far right. Alot of people ask me why I like this show, they say it's violent and almost glorifies mob connections, I tell them it isn't so bad, I personally like the one 3rd from the left with the tan shirt because he's really sexy, even his name is cute, Michael Imperioli, if that's not Italian,  come on, some people believe he's not Italian, can u believe that? My other favorite is the one 2nd from the right, with the brown shirt on, he's Stevie Van Zandt, a guitarist with Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band. Trust me, I think this guy is way cuter on The Sopranos than in real life. And my other fave is the one to the far right, his name is Federico Castellucio, and maaaaaaaaaaaaan is he HOT!

When you were little.........

Remember when you were little and you had all these things you wanted to do? You'd probably say "When I get older, I want to..." Well, when I was little, I wanted to so badly be a doctor. I was almost borderline obsessed with wanting to be a doctor. But when I found out that there were many branches in the medical field and that I would have to decide what field to go into and all the school tied to it, I quickly changed my mind. But when I was 14, I wanted to be a forensic scientist like on CSI:NY. I wanted to go to school and be like the people on CSI:NY, I wanted to be like Lindsay or Stella, but when I found out there were no schools for that kind of stuff, once again, I changed my mind. But then again there was something I wanted to go to school for, Video Game Design. At the time, I heard there were no schools for that, so somehow, don't ask me how, I got into Graphic Design. I guess I figured that if I do something like this, it might lead me into Video Game Design or something.

But right now, I'm going for an Associate's degree in Graphic Design. Right now, I'm going to school for that.  But I think back on when I was little, and all the things I said I'd do. When I was about 12, I wanted to be a cop, but I heard about the large fatality rate for that, that quickly changed my mind!

What I really want to do is either go into a job making CD covers for famous bands/artists, work for a video game design company helping to make video games, or advertising.

About Me

I know I've done blogs like this in the past, including my first official blog, but I love to talk about what I like and see if anyone out there in the blogosphere likes what I like and see if there are any common likes and similarities out there.
When it comes to TV, I pretty much watch anything, execpt reality shows, those are the stupidest things ever, no offense to those who love them, but I really don't care for them, that's all that seems to be on TV nowadays. Now certain shows, like Cake Boss, Pawn Stars, Auction Kings, I'm not sure if those count as reality shows, but if they do, I love them. But other shows, like crime dramas and stuff I watch. My most favorite shows are CSI:NY, Law and Order:SVU, Top Gear, which is a Britain based car show where these 3 guys do different stunts and stuff with cars. Like they'll build their own limos out of cars or build their own RV out of cars, it's funny. And other shows, like Cake Boss, Pawn Stars, Auction Kings are cool because of the stuff they get or do.
My favorite one is the one to the far left, with the brown hair and leather jacket, his name is Richard Hammond and he is my favorite, he is sooooooooooooo cute.
This is what the crew from Top Gear look like. It's a British based TV show, so it's probably no suprise that not that many know the show except for the newly made American version of it. Personally, the British version trumps the American version anyday. My favorite one is the one to the far left, with the dark brown hair and dark brown leather jacket. He's so cute, but then again, I guess I got a thing for English guys with accents.

When it comes to movies, I like virtually any movie, except movies where there's someone constantly cussing, too much sex stuff or anything overtly violent. I like movies that make me laugh, have a good story to it or is got one of my favorite actors in it. I mean, the movie could totally suck but if it had Jet Li, Chow Yun-fat or Hugh Jackman in it, I'll watch it. Most of the movies I watch usually have one thing in common: they're either martial arts movies, movies with an English actor in it, like What a Girl Wants, or Bend It Like Beckham or The Full Monty.

When it comes to movies, I have a lot of favorite actors, some of them aren't even actors, some are musicians, like for example, Mick Jagger, is a cool actor despite what some say about him not being a good actor. My favorite movie with him is Freejack and Ned Kelly. And other actors, include Jet Li, Chow Yun-fat, Hugh Jackman, Sylvester Stallone

About Me

The title explains it all. I thought in this blog I would introduce myself to the blog world. I would tell you about my family and a little about me. I know I did this in a couple of other blogs and my first initial blog, but I love learning new things about people. Because I look at it this way- whenever you meet someone new, it's a new opportunity to make a new friend.

My name is Caitlin Clark, I'm 20 years old and I recently had my birthday on October 1. My dad's name is Steven, he works as a Sorter Machine Operator and his job has him sending checks through a large sorting machine and he makes sure they go where they are needed. My mom's name is Brenda and her job is Fraud Detection, she works for Fifth Third Processing Solutions LLC, meaning this place was bought out or something by Fifth Third, she locks/blocks cards to protect people from fraud, but this usually ends up getting her an earful from people who are mad that their cards were blocked, and she tells them it's for their protection, but they usually don't listen. My sister Jessica is in her final year at Bellevue High School, she's a senior and she can't wait to graduate, she says there's too much drama where she goes. I believe her, I was glad to get out of that place, more drama than an episode of Jersey Shore, minus the Italian chicks. My step dad Greg works the 2nd shift at US Bank, the same place as my dad. He works from 5pm-2am, and sometimes depending on what time they finish, that determines what time they get home. He's a Reconciler, meaning he prepares checks to go into the Sorter Room.

When it comes to likes and interests, everyone has certain interests/likes. When it comes to me, if there was a nickname for me, it would probably be British Invasion or something, mainly because alot of the stuff I like is out of England, mainly from hanging around with my step dad. I don't watch TV much, but when I do, my favorite TV shows are Top Gear, CSI:NY, the new Hawaii 5-0, Law and Order:SVU, the First 48, and Cold Case, and you can also look me up on Facebook, yeah, I got an account with Facebook, there really wasn't a choice in the matter, it was for Ad Club here at Gateway and it doesn't really bother me having an account with this thing, I've met people who share alot in common with me. In music, my tastes are stuck in British 60s, bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones I could listen to all day long and all night long if given the chance. I also like other bands, like Aerosmith, Foreigner, Deep Purple, Van Halen, the Police. And singers, like Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Michael Jackson, Paul McCartney I like too because their music isn't about drugs, sex like most of the rap music out there is. And alot of the movies I watch have one thing in common: they're probably martial arts movies, with people like Jet Li in it. Him, Chow Yun-fat are 2 of my favorite actors, you never hear anything bad about them. And Hugh Jackman is also one of my favorite actors because he can sing, dance and act, sort of sexy.

I'm not like most young adults. In high school, when most teens were having sex, drinking at a young age, smoking, etc, I was trying to ignore all that, but in reality, it was hard trying to go every day and ignore the peer pressure. I was unpopular because I didn't have sex with every guy in school, drink alcohol or do drugs. The 2 main reasons I didn't is because I'm not like that and I think it screws your life up and if I did, I'd be pushing up daisies, my dad would kill me. I was smarter than most of my high school peers. but now that I'm 20 years old, I'm still the same person I've always been- nice, considerate of others, a little shy, not very talkative. I was that way in high school and I was considered one of the school nerds because I aced every year of my Spanish class and everyone else had to come to me for help in learning the language that would let them graduate. For once I felt smarter than ever. But I was glad to help them.

You see, I'm the kind of person that I always help someone when it's needed and I get a little happy when I do something nice for others. In fact, if it's possible to get a high from being nice, I was higher than a kite recently because I was able to buy something for my step dad, sister, dad and mom for Christmas and I still have a few things to pick up, my step-dad is a major fan of The Rolling Stones and he has every one of their albums and I asked him if there were any he wanted and he told me the Bridges to Babylon album. For my sis I have to pick up a book about this athlete she likes, Apolo Ohno, she likes him. so you can see my holidays are filled with shopping and everything.

One of my favorite TV shows is Dancing with the Stars, but recently it has been sucking eggs, that Bristol Palin NEEDS TO GO! She is not a good dancer and I heard there was a rumor that her mom has people calling in multiple times and blocking up the phone lines when people vote just so her daughter can win! It's not right, she is not a good dancer. If Jennifer Grey loses, I'm not watching it anymore. she could easily beat out that good for nothing, diva dancer Bristol. She must obviously think that just because she got knocked up when she was a teen and had a child that she is some kind of superstar. And her mom Sarah adopting a child with special needs, I can understand she loves this child, but I personally think that she is using that as leverage to get people to vote for her when election comes around. You don't use a child with special needs to gain popularity. But that Bristol NEEDS TO GO! I don't think she is a good dancer, now that I think about it, some of the other dancers they had on in some of the different seasons were twenty times better than her, that tall black haired Russian guy, Maksim Chermosvsky, I think is his name, he was a good dancer and he was HOT! He was my fave because he was a good dancer! And that singer Brandi I was really gunning for the win spot, I was really hoping she would beat Bristol. And I thought of something last night: If Bristol wins, everyone stand up and boo her, to show her their disgust with her. Her family is totally taking over everywhere and when Sarah McCain, I think is her name, said that Bristol not voting was stupid that voting on Dancing with the Stars was more important to her, I'm with Miss McCain. It seems that to Bristol, the only thing important to her is winning. What about that poor child she brought into this world? That poor little angel is starting to have a Kate Gosselin- his mother is too consumed with winning that she pays no attention to her son.

TV shows

Everyone has a favorite TV show, don't they? Well, I have a lot of favorites. Law and Order:SVU is my biggest favorite. I enjoy watching that show because it's actually good. And I watch this one show my step-dad got me hooked on. It's called Top Gear, it's a show out of England that my step-dad watches. It's about these 3 British guys who do stunts with cars. I'm also a big CSI:NY fan. I really don't watch TV all that much, because most of the time I have my head in a book reading or I'm working on something for school.
But at night when I'm not doing something school related, I watch TV. I recently started watching this show on TV called Glee. It's pretty cool, I like it. There's this other show I like watching because it's funny. It's called Everyone Hates Chris. It makes me laugh. Alot of the stuff on TV that I watch has to do with police work, like Criminal Minds, Cold Case, CSI:NY, Law and Order:SVU, Numb3rs(this is a show), it's almost like a pattern with me, I guess it's because when I was younger, I wanted to be a police officer.
The reason being that I'm tired of seeing criminals, pedophiles, rapists, you name it getting more rights than the victims. When a man rapes a woman, think about it, in court, the rapist's lawyer will make it almost sound like she seduced him into having sex and she cried rape. I guess that's the reason I wanted to be a cop when I was younger. But when I hear about all the fatalities that come out of being a cop, I quickly changed my mind and went into something else that interested me--art.
I figure since I love art, go into a job like that. But that's probably the reason I love police related shows, police work endlessly fascinates me. It's funny how things end up, huh? When you were younger, you liked certain things and when you grow up and look back, you think "man, did I really like that?" You think that it's corny, that the stuff you liked when you were younger is corny now.
Believe me, it's a pattern with me, I'll watch anything that has to do with music, police work or sometimes reality. Now, I'm not sure if Cake Boss is considered reality, but if it is, I love it. I just love how he does all these intricate little designs. If I ever get a cake from him, I want a Sopranos-themed cake, I love that show! And Dancing with the Stars? I actually do like that show because I enjoy dancing, whether it be ballet, tango, Swing, or club dancing like the cha-cha slide or whatever. I love dancing! If you ever see me at a club or something where there's dancing, you'll see I'm most happy when I'm dancing! But some of the people on the new season of it I can't actually believe are on there: Bristol Palin,
Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino. What he needs to do is wake up and smell the coffee-he is not impressive, yeah he may have a body like Stallone, but he isn't going to hook any chicks if his ego is bigger than the entire country of Italy. And now Bristol Palin, from what I hear, she's a diva, thinking that just because she is famous for having a child out of wedlock, she can win. That's now how it works. I hear this one comedian is going to try out, I think her name is Margaret Cho, I hear she's funny, so I hope she wins.
